Since its foundation in 1966, the University of Rouen Normandy has set up partnerships with higher education institutions the world over.
The University of Rouen Normandy has signed over 300 Erasmus+ agreements with institutions throughout the Erasmus zone. We have also signed over 200 bilateral agreements with institutions from several countries worldwide.
These agreements foster the mobility of student and staff at the university and open up opportunities for cooperation in various fields of research.
Our major projects
INGENIUM: the University of Rouen Normandy is part of the European University alliance INGENIUM, born in 2020 as part of the “European Universities” Initiative launched by the European Commission via the Erasmus+ program.
France-Flanders-The Netherlands Scientific Interest Group: this group brings together lecturers, researchers, information science professionals and non-academic partners to promote joint activities, organise common projects and strengthen scientific and academic cooperation within the European Union.
ESAGOV Project: Higher education and university governance in Algeria: launched in Rome in 2019, this project’s aim is to support the current changes taking place within the higher education system in Algeria. The University of Rouen Normandy is one of the two principal French universities involved in the project, alongside Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne, 12 Algerian universities, the Algerian Ministry for Higher Education and Research and the Commission for the Implementation of Quality Assurance in Higher Education in Algeria.
AvENIR Project: this project offers refugees and asylum seekers the opportunity to enrol on a French-as-a-foreign-language course at the University of Rouen Normandy’s Centre de Langues. They become students at the university and study for a French language diploma that will enable them to go back to studying or get a job.
